What is Price?

In short

Price is what a security key costs outright, since these are hardware you buy rather than subscribe to.

Price here means the one-off cost of the hardware, not a monthly charge. A security key is something you buy, keep on a keyring and use for years, so the purchase price is the main figure to weigh against what it replaces.

The spread across these keys is wide. Google Cloud and the Google Titan Security Key sit at $30 to $35 and $30 to $35. SoloKeys costs $35, while Nitrokey spans €32 to €65. You pay once for any of them, then hold the same key across the accounts you protect.
