What is Free version?

A free version is a tier a provider lets you use without paying anything, typically limited in features, storage or coverage rather than switched off. It is the quickest way to find out whether a tool suits you, and the fastest way to see which parts of it the vendor has held back for paying users. 360 Total Security (Qihoo 360) offers one, as does Adaware Antivirus. Acronis and Acronis Cyber Protect do not, and neither does Aura, so anyone weighing Aura starts on a paid plan. A free tier is a trial with no time limit, not a cut-price subscription.
