What is Compliance certifications?
In short
Compliance certifications are formal badges a company holds for meeting a named standard, and a longer list usually signals more regulated or public-sector customers.
A compliance certification is a formal mark that a company meets a published standard, usually after an outside assessment. Lists vary widely by audience. Acronis and Acronis Cyber Protect list ISO/IEC 27000 series, ISO 9001 and SOC 2, covering both security and quality frameworks. Backblaze Computer Backup lists SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and GDPR, Carbonite Safe lists HIPAA, FERPA and GLBA, and CrashPlan Group LLC lists SOC 1, SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001. Longer lists matter most if you hold regulated or government data.
